There are plenty of rallies to appeal to everyone — whether you are a family or just the two of you. 

I would like to start with thanking the membership for all your support over the last twelve months, also giving me the opportunity to serve as your Chairman for a second year. As most of you know last year was a very busy time for the Herts Centre with our two big celebration rallies. 

I will do my best to look after the Centre with the help of a very strong committee.  We have some new members standing on the Committee bringing a wealth of experience with them. Let's hope we can work the team spirit again this year throughout the rally field.  Most of you know I will carry on promoting family activities, but not forgetting the members range from nought to ninety and everyone needs to get enjoyment out of rallying with Herts.

Autumn is now with us and winter is fast approaching, but you do not need to park your caravan/motorhome up just because the weather is not good. Take you home comforts with you and meet fellow Hertfordshire ralliers this winter, Rallying in the Autumn and Winter can be as much fun as the summer  We have rallies running throughout this winter period, many with socials in school or village halls, with live entertainment included, please watch the centre news page for all the latest information.

With the 2009 programme prepared and ready to roll, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all rally officers and assistants in advance for volunteering to give up their time to organise various ideas of our weekends. Lots of good ideas are in the 2009 programme, this I hope will bring old and new members out on the rally field this season.

Our continuing chosen Charity for 2009 is the Herts Air Ambulance we are doing very well and have raised around £1000.00 already. So if there a raffle or tombola running over the weekend, please support it as we never know when you may need their services on the rally field.  

My theme as always is to put  L.I.F.E  into a centre which is very close to our hearts  

            Leisure.   Interest.  Friendship.  Enjoyment

May you all make many friends on and around the rally field.

All that remains is for Alan and I to wish you a Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year, wherever you may be and we look forward to your company and meeting you on the rally field over the coming months.
